The Lake of the Woods area or the Ojibway pronunciation in english "Lake of The Sand Bars" is full of rich culture from the original inhabitants, the Ojibway peoples. We have been fortunate to live here in a saddle between Lake of the Woods and Crow Lake, which its original name was Crow Portage (horse and buggy days). My Ojibway roots opened the door at an early age to the lakes and bush. A large number of native guides were the heart of the fish & hunting guide work force. They supported and strengthened the tourism industry in Canada, while making a living off there experience and connection to the land. Expect an exceptional vacation experience. The Lake Of The Woods area with it's outstanding boreal forest surroundings is a site to be experienced.
